Illinois High School Basketball - Edinburg bests Litchfield
January 14, 2025: Litchfield, IL 62056 The Edinburg Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Litchfield Purple Panthers to 60 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 16-2 record. They play next when they host DeLand-Weldon for a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. Edinburg will play a Eagles team coming off a 48-42 non-league loss to Calvary Christian Academy (Normal, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 1-12.
With the loss, Litchfield falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Purple panthers host Greenville (Greenville, IL) to play the Comets in a South Central game on Thursday, January 16. The Comets go into the game with a record of 12-5. Greenville lost 53-26 in their recent non-league game against Nashville (Nashville, IL)
