Illinois High School Basketball - Nokomis holds off Litchfield
January 20, 2025: Nokomis, IL 62075 The Nokomis Redskins basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Litchfield Purple Panthers to 42 in the Redskins non-league triumph on Monday.
The Redskins now possess a 10-12 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league game on Thursday, January 23. Nokomis will confront a Comets team coming off a 60-54 non-league win over Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Comets record now stands at 13-7.
With the loss, Litchfield falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Purple panthers travel to Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL) to battle the Eagles in a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 12-6. Civic Memorial won 53-37 in their recent non-league contest against Nokomis (Nokomis, IL)
