Texas High School Basketball - Gilmer nudges Spring Hill
January 14, 2025: Longview, TX 75605 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) and the host Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX), observed Gilmer's basketball team edge Spring Hill by a score of 43-40.
The Buckeyes (8-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Region II District 16 challenge with a 6-11 record. In their last challenge, Kilgore edged Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX), 59-43, in a league game.
With the loss, Spring Hill falls to 10-16 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX) to play the Knights in a 4A Region II District 16 game on Friday, January 17. The Knights go into the game with a record of 7-15. Cumberland Academy lost 71-35 in their recent league game against Pine Tree (Longview, TX)
