January 14, 2025: Martensdale, IA 50160 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southeast Warren Warhawks (Liberty Center, IA) and the host Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils (Martensdale, IA), observed Southeast Warren's basketball team knock off Martensdale-St. Mary's by a score of 67-57.
The Warhawks (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA). The Raiders come into the Pride of Iowa challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last challenge, Mount Ayr prevailed over Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA), 72-25, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) in a Pride of Iowa challenge, on Friday, January 17. Martensdale-St. Mary's will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 55-39 non-league loss to East Mills (Malvern, IA).
