Wisconsin High School Basketball - Darlington bested by Platteville
January 14, 2025: Platteville, WI 53818 Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Darlington Redbirds (Darlington, WI), 64-46 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Platteville advances its record to 12-1 on the year. The Hillmen travel to Prairie du Chien (Prairie du Chien, WI) to meet the Blackhawks in a Southwest Wisconsin match on Friday, January 17. The Blackhawks enter the match with a record of 14-0. Prairie du Chien won 53-20 in their recent league match against Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI)
The Redbirds now own a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverdale for a Southwest Wisconsin Activities match on Thursday, January 16. Darlington will meet a Chieftains squad coming off a 53-27 non-league win over Wonewoc-Center (Wonewoc, WI). The Chieftains record now stands at 10-4.
