January 14, 2025: Volga, SD 57071 Hamlin Chargers (Hayti, SD) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD), 62-59 in a league match.
With the victory, Hamlin upgrades its record to 7-1 on the year. The Chargers travel to Webster (Webster, SD) to face the Bearcats in a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. The Bearcats enter the match with a record of 4-4. Webster lost 53-27 in their recent non-league match against Clark/Willow Lake (Clark, SD)
The Cossacks now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McCook Central/Montrose for a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. Sioux Valley will face a Fighting Cougars squad coming off a 77-31 league win over Hanson (Alexandria, SD). The Fighting Cougars record now stands at 5-4.
