South Dakota High School Basketball - Sioux Valley overwhelms DeSmet
January 28, 2025: DeSmet, SD 57231 The Sioux Valley Cossacks basketball team scored 59 points and limited the host DeSmet Bulldogs to 32 in the Cossacks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cossacks now have a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Beresford for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Sioux Valley will confront a Watchdogs team coming off a 63-28 non-league win over Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD). The Watchdogs record now stands at 8-6.
With the loss, DeSmet falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Colman-Egan (Colman, SD) to confront the C-E Hawks in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The C-E Hawks go into the game with a record of 14-2. Colman-Egan won 54-39 in their recent non-league match against Castlewood (Castlewood, SD)
