Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS), 66-61 in a league match.

With the victory, Meridian advances its record to 12-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to face the Warriors in a 7A Region 3 match on Friday, January 17. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 9-13. Oak Grove won 36-19 in their recent league match against Pearl (Pearl, MS)
