The Starkville Yellowjackets basketball team scored 51 points and limited the host Tupelo Golden Wave to 48 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 16-5 record. They play next when they travel to Murrah for a 7A Region 2 game on Friday, January 17. Starkville will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 56-38 league loss to Germantown (Madison, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-15.
