Mississippi High School Soccer - Lafayette knocks off West Point
January 14, 2025: Oxford, MS 38655 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), saw Lafayette's soccer squad triumph over West Point by a count of 7-0.
The Commodores (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Trojans enter the 5A Region 1 battle with a 7-7 record.
Next up, the Green Wave battle the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 5A Region 1 battle, on Thursday, January 16. West Point will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 11-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Corinth (Corinth, MS).
