Millard North Mustangs (Omaha, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lincoln Northeast Rockets (Lincoln, NE), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Millard North upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Omaha Central (Omaha, NE) to play the Eagles in a A District TBD bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Omaha Central won 48-28 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE)

Next up, the Rockets play the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE) in a A District TBD bout, on Friday, January 21. Lincoln Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Silver Hawks come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 75-11 league win over Grand Island (Grand Island, NE).
