Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Neshannock tops Union Area
January 15, 2023: New Castle, PA 16105 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA), saw Neshannock's basketball squad knock off Union Area by a count of 47-37.
With the victory, Neshannock upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to play the Tigers in a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge on Monday, January 16. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Beaver Falls won 58-53 in their recent league challenge against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA)
Next up, the Scotties play the Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Union Area will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 46-35 non-league win over West Greene (Waynesburg, PA).
