Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area over Mohawk Area
December 19, 2022: New Castle, PA 16101 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA), saw Union Area's basketball squad overcome Mohawk Area by a tally of 58-49.
With the victory, Union Area improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Scotties travel to Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 21. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Blackhawk won 69-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin Regional (Murrysville, PA)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Sharpsville Blue Devils (Sharpsville, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 22. Mohawk Area will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 38-21 league loss to Greenville (Greenville, PA).
