The Mohawk Area Warriors basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Shenango Wildcats to 42 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Warriors now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sharpsville for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 22. Mohawk Area will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 38-21 league loss to Greenville (Greenville, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-4.

The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA). The Bulldogs enter the WPIAL 2A 1 contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Freedom Area was nudged by Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA), 60-47, in a non-league contest.
