North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy ripped by Piedmont

January 15, 2024: Monroe, NC 28110

The Piedmont Panthers basketball team scored 83 points and held the visiting Central Academy Cougars to 23 in the Panthers league triumph on Monday.

The Panthers now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkwood for a 2A/3A Rocky River contest on Friday, January 19. Piedmont will meet a Wolf Pack team coming off a 59-57 league win over Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 9-6.

The Cougars (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the 2A/3A Rocky River contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Forest Hills was routed by West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 76-67, in a league contest.
