North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA), 58-45 in a league bout.

With the win, North Schuylkill upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Spartans host Blue Mountain (Schuylkill Haven, PA) to play the Eagles in a Schuylkill County 1 bout on Thursday, January 18. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Blue Mountain won 32-24 in their recent league bout against Lehighton (Lehighton, PA)
