Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - Cumberland succumbs to Smithfield
January 15, 2024: Esmond, RI 02917 The Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) ice hockey bounced the visiting Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI), 9-1 in Monday's league battle.
The Sentinels now hold a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Burrillville for a State Championship Division battle on Saturday, January 20.
The Clippers (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos come into the State Championship Division battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Burrillville was ripped by Prout (Wakefield, RI), 2-1, in a league battle.
