Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - La Salle Academy knocks off Cumberland
February 16, 2024: Providence, RI 02908 The La Salle Academy Rams ice hockey squad scored 11 points and restricted the visiting Cumberland Clippers to 1 in the Rams league victory on Friday.
With the victory, La Salle Academy moves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Smithfield (Esmond, RI) to face the Sentinels in a State Championship Division contest on Saturday, February 17. The Sentinels go into the contest with a record of 10-11. Smithfield won 2-1 in their recent league contest against Moses Brown (Providence, RI)
The Clippers now sport a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they host Pilgrim for a State Championship Division contest on Sunday, February 18. Cumberland will face a Patriots squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Notre Dame (West Haven, CT). The Patriots record now stands at 6-12.
