Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Augustine holds off Wright
January 16, 2023: New Orleans, LA 70115 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the St. Augustine Purple Knights (New Orleans, LA) and the host Wright (New Orleans, LA), saw St. Augustine's basketball squad hold off Wright by a tally of 57-54.
With the victory, St. Augustine improves its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Purple Knights travel to Archbishop Rummel (Metairie, LA) to confront the Raiders in a 5A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 17-7. Archbishop Rummel won 48-46 in their recent league challenge against Jesuit (New Orleans, LA)
Next up, the confront the Grace King Fighting Irish (Metairie, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Wright will attempt to improve on its 17-5 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 88-54 non-league loss to Riverdale (Jefferson, LA).
