The Strom Thurmond Rebels basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Pelion Panthers to 19 in the Rebels league triumph on Tuesday.

The Rebels now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Silver Bluff for a AA Region 3 bout on Friday, January 19. Strom Thurmond will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 69-52 non-league win over McCormick (McCormick, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-1.

Next up, the Panthers play the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers (Batesburg, SC) in a AA Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 19. Pelion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
