California High School Basketball - El Capitan thwarts Grossmont
January 16, 2024: El Cajon, CA 92021 The El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) basketball knocked off the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), 49-34 in Tuesday's league test.
The Vaqueros (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors go into the test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Mount Miguel went down by Santana (Santee, CA), 46-44, in a league test.
The Foothillers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Monte Vista for a test on Friday, January 19. Grossmont will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 47-40 league loss to El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 9-8.
