January 19, 2024: Lakeside, CA 92040 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) and the visiting Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA), saw El Capitan's basketball squad overcome Mount Miguel by a tally of 54-41.
With the victory, El Capitan improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Vaqueros travel to Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA) to confront the Monarchs in a challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Monte Vista won 54-46 in their recent league challenge against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA)
Next up, the Matadors confront the El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Mount Miguel will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 47-40 league win over Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA).
