Florida High School Basketball - Mount Dora holds off East Ridge

The Mount Dora Hurricanes basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host East Ridge Knights to 62 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Hurricanes now have a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Tavares for a 4A District 6 game on Friday, January 17. Mount Dora will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 65-51 non-league loss to Wekiva (Apopka, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, East Ridge falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Knights travel to South Lake (Groveland, FL) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 11-7. South Lake won 73-72 in their recent non-league game against Hope Academy (Groveland, FL)
