In Thursday's league contest, the host Lourdes Central Catholic Knights basketball team scored a good 49-40 triumph over the Weeping Water Indians.

The Knights (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Sidney (Sidney, IA). The Cowboys go into the non-league contest with a 6-5 record.

In their next game, the Indians confront the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Weeping Water will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 49-29 non-league loss to Exeter-Milligan/Friend (Exeter, NE).
