January 16, 2025: Platte, SD 57369 The Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD) basketball crushed the host Platte/Geddes Black Panthers (Platte, SD), 49-18 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Titans now possess a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Redfield for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will play a Pheasants team coming off a 68-44 non-league loss to Faulkton (Faulkton, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 0-7.
With the loss, Platte/Geddes falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Black panthers host Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Tripp-Delmont/Armour won 49-46 in their recent non-league bout against Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD)
