The Bishop McGuinness Villains basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Leadership Academy Falcons to 8 in the Villains league triumph on Thursday.

The Villains now have a 10-0 record. They play next when they host Carver for a 1A Northwest Piedmont game on Friday, January 17. Bishop McGuinness will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 42-29 league win over Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Leadership Academy falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Falcons host Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC) to confront the Cardinals in a 1A Northwest Piedmont game on Tuesday, January 21. The Cardinals go into the game with a record of 6-11. Cornerstone Charter lost 71-29 in their recent league game against Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC)
