In Friday's league contest, the host Lyford Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 65-25 triumph over the Progreso Red Ants.

The Bulldogs (20-6) will now prepare for their contest against IDEA Riverview (Brownsville, TX). The Rockets go into the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, IDEA Riverview was trounced by IDEA Sports Park (Brownsville, TX), 59-55, in a league contest.
