Arcadia Hornets (Arcadia, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Homer Pelicans (Homer, LA), 71-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Arcadia upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Plain Dealing (Plain Dealing, LA) to play the Lions in a 1A District 1 bout on Monday, January 23. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 3-6.

Next up, the Pelicans play the Glenbrook Apaches (Minden, LA) in a 1A District 1 bout, on Friday, January 20. Homer will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Apaches come into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 86-41 league loss to Ringgold (Ringgold, LA).
