The McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles to 44 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osceola for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. McCool Junction will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 69-39 non-league win over Giltner (Giltner, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-2.

The Eagles (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Exeter-Milligan (Exeter, NE). The Timberwolves enter the non-league contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Exeter-Milligan ran past Meridian (Daykin, NE), 52-29, in a league contest.
