South Dakota High School Basketball - Castlewood can't hold off St. Mary
January 17, 2023: Dell Rapids, SD 57022 The St. Mary Cardinals basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Castlewood Warriors to 70 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chester for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. St. Mary will battle a Flyers team coming off a 85-40 non-league loss to Sioux Valley (Volga, SD). The Flyers record now stands at 4-6.
The Warriors (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD). The Raiders enter the B Region 2 contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland was nudged by Estelline/Hendricks (Estelline, SD), 61-27, in a non-league contest.
