The Chattanooga Central Pounders (Harrison, TN) basketball nipped the host Red Bank Lions (Chattanooga, TN), 58-55 in Tuesday's league test.

The Pounders (7-11) will now prepare for their test against East Ridge (Chattanooga, TN). The Pioneers go into the 3A District 6 test with a 7-9 record. In their last bout, East Ridge held off Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN), 71-63, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Red Bank will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 77-70 league loss to McMinn County (Athens, TN).
