Iowa High School Basketball - Nashua-Plainfield tipped by Newman Catholic
January 17, 2023: Mason City, IA 50401 The Newman Catholic Knights basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies to 53 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Knights now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Fork for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Newman Catholic will meet a Warhawks team coming off a 61-55 non-league win over Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Warhawks record now stands at 11-1.
The Huskies (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Central Springs was nudged by North Butler (Greene, IA), 66-54, in a non-league contest.
