Louisiana High School Basketball - New Iberia tops Acadiana
January 17, 2023: New Iberia, LA 70560 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) and the visiting Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA), saw New Iberia's basketball squad knock off Acadiana by a tally of 36-24.
With the victory, New Iberia improves its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Lafayette (Lafayette, LA) to play the Lions in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 15-6.
Next up, the Rams play the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Acadiana will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record. The Golden Tors come into the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 42-37 league win over Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA).
