January 17, 2023: Ackerly, TX 79713 The Grady Wildcats basketball team (Lenorah, TX), was overwhelmed 51-24 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX)
The Mustangs now possess a 20-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dawson for a 1A Region I District 8 battle on Friday, January 20. Sands will confront a Dragons team coming off a 86-6 league loss to Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 3-5.
The Wildcats (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region I District 8 battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Wellman-Union trounced Loop (Loop, TX), 58-24, in a league battle.
