The Twin Valley Panthers (Pilgrims Knob, VA) basketball felled the host Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA), 44-28 in Tuesday's league test.

The Panthers (8-5) will now prepare for their test against East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, East Ridge was beaten by Pikeville (Pikeville, KY), 86-25, in a league test.

The Golden Wave now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Honaker for a Black Diamond test on Friday, January 20. Grundy will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 64-17 league win over Hurley (Hurley, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 11-4.
