January 17, 2023: Iola, WI 54945 Fans at Tuesday's non-league test between the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds (Iola, WI) and the visiting Port Edwards Blackhawks (Port Edwards, WI), witnessed Iola-Scandinavia's basketball squad crush Port Edwards by a margin of 70-22.
The Thunderbirds (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Menominee Indian (Keshena, WI). The Eagles go into the Central Wisconsin - East test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Menominee Indian was trounced by Gresham Community (Gresham, WI), 55-44, in a non-league test.
The Blackhawks now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they host Almond-Bancroft for a Central Wisconsin - South test on Thursday, January 19. Port Edwards will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to Mauston (Mauston, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 12-2.
