Washington High School Basketball - Capital tops Peninsula
January 17, 2024: Olympia, WA 98502 Capital Cougars (Olympia, WA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Peninsula Seahawks (Gig Harbor, WA), 43-30 in a league bout.
With the victory, Capital upgrades its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Timberline (Lacey, WA) to play the Blazers in a 3A South Sound bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Blazers come into the bout with a record of 8-6. Timberline won 67-56 in their recent league bout against River Ridge (Lacey, WA)
Next up, the Seahawks play the Yelm Tornados (Yelm, WA) in a 3A South Sound bout, on Friday, January 19. Peninsula will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Tornados come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 67-59 league loss to Timberline (Lacey, WA).
