Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL), 64-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lowpoint-Washburn upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-12. Cuba/Spoon River Valley lost 42-31 in their recent non-league bout against Elmwood (Elmwood, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Annawan Braves (Annawan, IL) in a Lincoln Trail bout, on Friday, January 19. Galva will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 68-44 league win over Knoxville (Knoxville, IL).
