Illinois High School Basketball - Dwight tops Roanoke-Benson
January 17, 2024: Roanoke, IL 61561 Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL), 53-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Dwight upgrades its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Seneca (Seneca, IL) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a record of 12-11. Seneca lost 56-46 in their recent league bout against Marquette (Ottawa, IL)
Next up, the Rockets play the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) in a Tri-County bout, on Monday, January 22. Roanoke-Benson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-20 season record. The Mallards come into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 55-26 non-league loss to St. Bede (Peru, IL).
