California High School Basketball - West Valley succumbs to University Prep

January 17, 2024: Redding, CA 96001

The University Prep Panthers topped the visiting West Valley Eagles basketball team by a final score of 54-46 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) in a Northern game, on Friday, January 19. University Prep will attempt to move on its 16-4 season record. The Grizzlies enter the game with a 8-12 record after their 42-26 league win over Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA).

With the defeat, West Valley moves to 15-6 on the year. The Eagles host Yreka (Yreka, CA) to face the Miners in a Northern game on Friday, January 19. The Miners enter the game with a record of 10-11. Yreka lost 56-31 in their recent league game against Anderson (Anderson, CA)
