Vermont High School Ice Hockey - Essex drops to Champlain Valley Union
January 17, 2024: Essex Junction, VT 05452 In Wednesday's league test, the visiting Champlain Valley Union Redhawks ice hockey team scored a tight 5-1 win over the Essex Hornets.
The Redhawks (3-4) will now prepare for their test against Burr & Burton (Manchester, VT). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Burr & Burton held off Rutland (Rutland, VT), 3-2, in a league test.
Next up, the Hornets encounter the Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) in a test, on Saturday, January 20. Essex will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Tigers enter the test with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 league loss to Spaulding (Barre, VT).
