Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA), 56-51 in a league match.

With the victory, Massaponax advances its record to 8-6 on the year. The Panthers travel to Mountain View (Stafford, VA) to face the Wildcats in a Commonwealth match on Tuesday, January 21. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 4-8. Mountain View lost 58-56 in their recent league match against Stafford (Falmouth, VA)

The Bears now own a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stafford for a Commonwealth match on Thursday, January 23.
