January 17, 2025: New Plymouth, ID 83655

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the New Plymouth Pilgrims (New Plymouth, ID) and the visiting Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID), observed New Plymouth's basketball team knock off Melba by a score of 59-47.

The Pilgrims (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Marsing (Marsing, ID). The Huskies come into the 3A Western Idaho challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Marsing dropped by Nampa Christian (Nampa, ID), 51-49, in a league bout.

With the loss, Melba falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Parma (Parma, ID) to play the Panthers in a 3A Western Idaho bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Parma lost 68-62 in their recent league bout against The Ambrose School (Meridian, ID)
