The Pinecrest Patriots basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Union Pines Vikings to 56 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.

The Patriots now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond for a 3A/4A Sandhills game on Tuesday, January 28.

With the loss, Union Pines falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Fairmont (Fairmont, NC) to confront the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The Golden Tornadoes go into the game with a record of 10-4. Fairmont lost 48-28 in their recent non-league game against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC)
