Iowa High School Basketball - Union thwarts Wapsie Valley
January 17, 2025: La Porte City, IA 50651 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) and the visiting Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA), observed Union's basketball team knock off Wapsie Valley by a score of 56-45.
The Knights (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Waverly-Shell Rock (Waverly, IA). The Go-Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Waverly-Shell Rock prevailed over Charles City (Charles City, IA), 87-47, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Wapsie Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 63-55 non-league win over Prairie du Chien (Prairie du Chien, WI).
