January 17, 2025: Winder, GA 30680 The Apalachee Wildcats basketball squad (Winder, GA), was crushed 80-25 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA)
With the victory, Jackson County advances its record to 14-6 on the year. The Panthers host Clarke Central (Athens, GA) to meet the Gladiators in a AAAAA Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Gladiators enter the battle with a record of 7-9. Clarke Central won 52-47 in their recent league battle against Alcovy (Covington, GA)
The Wildcats now own a 4-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Loganville for a AAAAA Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 21. Apalachee will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 48-29 non-league loss to Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-12.
