Georgia High School Basketball - Elbert County toppled by Banks County
January 17, 2025: Homer, GA 30547 Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA), 52-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Banks County upgrades its record to 12-5 on the year. The Leopards travel to Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA) to face the Lightning in a non-league match on Monday, January 20. The Lightning enter the match with a record of 11-9. Lanier Christian Academy won 68-33 in their recent league match against Fideles Christian (Cumming, GA)
The Blue Devils now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warren County for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Elbert County will face a Screaming Devils squad coming off a 69-41 league loss to Washington-Wilkes (Washington, GA). The Screaming Devils record now stands at 8-8.
