Texas High School Basketball - Comanche triumphant over Eastland
January 17, 2025: Comanche, TX 76442 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Comanche Indians (Comanche, TX) and the visiting Eastland Mavericks (Eastland, TX), observed Comanche's basketball team overwhelm Eastland by a score of 81-45.
The Indians (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Early (Early, TX). The Longhorns come into the 3A Region I District 8 challenge with a 16-10 record. In their last challenge, Early trounced Peaster (Peaster, TX), 60-17, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mavericks battle the Breckenridge Buckaroos (Breckenridge, TX) in a 3A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Eastland will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Buckaroos come into the challenge with a 2-25 record after their 53-9 league loss to Tolar (Tolar, TX).
