In Friday's non-league contest, the host Nature Coast Tech Sharks basketball team scored a big 50-23 win over the Crystal River Pirates.

The Sharks (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Weeki Wachee (Weeki Wachee, FL). The Hornets come into the 4A District 9 contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Weeki Wachee was trounced by Springstead (Spring Hill, FL), 52-38, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Citrus Hurricanes (Inverness, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Crystal River will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Hurricanes come into the contest with a 6-11 record after their 49-33 league win over Hernando (Brooksville, FL).
