In Friday's league contest, the host United Lions basketball team scored a close 45-38 win over the Northern Cambria Colts.

The Lions (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cambria Heights (Patton, PA). The Highlanders come into the Heritage contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Cambria Heights edged Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA), 55-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Colts battle the Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) in a Heritage contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Northern Cambria will attempt to better on its 0-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 8-6 record after their 61-30 league win over Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA).
